How are you all? Hope you're fine.

As we all know that we create a request page for a report. But can anyone please tell me if it is possible to create a request page for a list page in business central?

I have the same question (0)

Why exactly you need a request page for another page??

The purpose of a request page in a report is to mention the filters for the report. A list / card / document pages by default has a filter pane - where you can put necessary filter values.

Hi Snehanshu Mandal, thanks for replying.

I exactly need a request page to create an inquiry against a specific list page. Inquiry will show only filtered records. In inquiry, there is no need to load the complete page because there can be 1000 of 1000 records and page will take enough time in loading all the records.

So I exactly want to create a request page or a filter pane type page to open first where I can set filters against required fields while opening a specific list page. In this way, I can get the filtered records in no time and there will remain no need to load the whole page filled with 1000 of 1000 records and then use the filter pane on the page to filter the records.

    Thanks for reading.

Just create a page to do your parameter, when they click OK on that page, it will call another page based on their input parameter.

Hi, this is possible, but not in accordance with BC usage habits. It may be that in other ERP systems, you could enter the query criteria and then display the list in.

The suggestions above are very good. If you really want to use the request page, you can create a Report that ProcessingOnly = true, and open the list page after the report runs.

    Hi Hussnain

One possible way is to create a "Proccess only" report. Take all the parameters in its request page and invoke the list page onPostDataItem Trigger of the report.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Verify the answer if it helps you.
