Adding Rich Text Editor To Letter

Hi,

As you know when creating a email in Dynamics 365 CE v9, you have a rich text editor nice and fancy.

How ever on letter you have that description field but just simple plain text.

Can anyone tell me how could I put that rich text editor to letter also?

And also do we have templates for letter? some text that could be added to the text editor?

Hi Partner,

You can go Settings > Customizations > Customize the system > Entities > Letter > Form.

Double-click description field to open Field Properties dialog, navigate to Controls tab and add 'Rick Text Editor Control'

Save and publish it.

Note:

If you don't find OOB control-- 'Rick Text Editor Control' , you can download PCF Rich Text Control solution in following link, then add it to description field as the same steps as above.

As you mentioned "And also do we have templates for letter?".

The template is similar with email template? if so, you can't achieve it.

I'm using dynamics 9.0.24.8 on-premises, and I could not import this solution.

Hello agian,

Does the "BCC" and "CC" on the letter work like an email and distribute the letter to the users on the "BCC" and "CC" in Dynamics?

Hello, I wish to insert templates into letters too. Did you find a way? I wonder could you add a template lookup field to letter and create a custom bit of JS to retrieve template description?
