If you’re seeing transactions in General Ledger Entries but not in the Posted General Journal in Dynamics 365, this discrepancy could be due to the following reasons:
Direct Posting to General Ledger:
Opening Balance Journals:
Custom Journals or Integration-Posted Entries:
Filtering or Security Roles:
To further investigate and resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Verify Journal Posting Process:
Check the Source of the Transactions:
Review Security Role Permissions:
Check Journal Names and Journal Types:
Test with a New Journal Entry:
In short, entries that appear in General Ledger Entries but not in Posted General Journals are often directly posted to the ledger without going through the standard journal workflow. Ensure that transactions are posted using a General Journal or another standard journal type, and double-check security roles and filters.
If you still cannot see your entries in the Posted General Journals form after these checks, it may be helpful to consult with your system administrator or Dynamics 365 support to review specific configurations or customizations in your environment.
