Hello D365 Community,

Do you have any recommendations for a staffing/consulting firm to find a strong D365 Architect?  Looking for contractor (possibly FTE).  We are about 6 months post-implementation of D365.

Thanks for any leads!

    Hi Kristina,

Dynamics 365 is made up of many different platforms, so I’d recommend looking for talent that is more specific to your particular requirements. There are some great recruiting firms that can help with this.

    Thanks
    Ramesh

    Hello Kristina,

Finding a strong Dynamics 365 Architect, especially for a firm 6 months post-implementation, requires a specialized approach. Here's a breakdown of recommendations for staffing/consulting firms and strategies to find the right candidate:

    Recommended Staffing/Consulting Firms:
    1. Microsoft Partners (Gold or Platinum):
      • Why: These firms have deep expertise in Dynamics 365 and often have a pool of experienced consultants and architects.
      • Examples:
        • Avanade: A joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.
        • DXC Technology: A global IT services and consulting company with a large Dynamics 365 practice.
        • HCL Technologies: A global technology company that provides Dynamics 365 implementation and support services.
        • Wipro: Another global IT services company with a strong Dynamics 365 practice.
        • Capgemini: A multinational consulting firm with significant Dynamics 365 expertise.
        • Hitachi Solutions: A global Microsoft solutions integrator with a strong Dynamics 365 practice.
      • Pros:
        • Deep product knowledge.
        • Access to certified professionals.
        • Understanding of Microsoft's ecosystem.
      • Cons:
        • Potentially higher rates.
    2. Specialized Dynamics 365 Staffing Agencies:
      • Why: Some agencies focus exclusively on Dynamics 365 talent, giving them a niche advantage.
      • Examples:
        • Search online for "Dynamics 365 staffing agencies" to find regional and international options.
        • LinkedIn Recruiter is also a good place to find these agencies.
      • Pros:
        • Targeted candidate pool.
        • Faster turnaround.
      • Cons:
        • May have a smaller pool of candidates than larger consulting firms.
    3. General IT Staffing Agencies:
      • Why: Larger IT staffing agencies can also provide Dynamics 365 talent, but you'll need to be more specific with your requirements.
      • Examples:
        • Robert Half Technology.
        • TEKsystems.
        • Experis.
      • Pros:
        • Large candidate pool.
        • Wide range of IT skills.
      • Cons:
        • May require more screening to find Dynamics 365 expertise.

Strategies for Finding the Right D365 Architect:
    1. Define Your Requirements:
      • Technical Skills:
        • Specify the required D365 modules (Sales, Service, Finance, etc.).
        • Specify any relevant technologies (Power Platform, Azure, integrations).
      • Business Skills:
        • Industry experience (if applicable).
        • Understanding of business processes.
        • Communication and collaboration skills.
      • Experience:
        • Specify the level of experience required (senior, lead architect).
        • Experience with post-implementation support and optimization.
      • Contract vs. FTE:
        • Clearly define your needs.
    2. Leverage LinkedIn:
      • Use LinkedIn Recruiter to search for D365 Architects.
      • Post your job description on LinkedIn.
      • Network with D365 professionals.
    3. Attend Dynamics 365 Events:
      • Microsoft conferences (e.g., Microsoft Ignite).
      • Dynamics 365 user groups.
      • These events are great for networking and finding talent.
    4. Conduct Thorough Interviews:
      • Technical assessments.
      • Scenario-based questions.
      • Reference checks.
    5. Look for Certifications:
      • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
      • These certifications demonstrate a level of expertise.
    6. Post-Implementation Focus:
      • Since you are 6 months post implementation, make sure the architect has experience with post implementations.
      • They should have experience with optimizing systems, and working with end users to solve post implementation issues.

    Key Qualities to Look For:
    • Deep Dynamics 365 Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the platform's architecture and capabilities.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Business Acumen: Understanding of how Dynamics 365 supports business processes.
    • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing requirements and technologies.

By using these recommendations, you will increase your odds of finding a qualified D365 Architect.

Not sure what the rules are on here about posting specific companies, so I won't post anything specific.  There are definitely some firms, both large and small, that specialize in Dynamics skillsets. Each can have different focuses, charge rates, and approaches for finding the talent. Recruiting firms are pretty tight-lipped on their methods and approaches, so I'm not sure if you'll get too much insight on these boards.

An alternative, of course, it to work with an established partner through a type of Managed Services program or other support program depending on your needs.

    Hi ,

For a strong Dynamics 365 Architect (contractor, possibly FTE) 6 months post-implementation, consider these firms:

    • Dynamic Consultants Group: Known for a broad network of certified D365 experts, offering flexible staffing (contract or FTE) and post-implementation support.

    • DyNexus Group: This specializes in ERP staffing, including D365 architects, with a focus on quick contractor placement.

    • SingleStone Consulting: Excels in complex D365 deployments and has certified architects for ongoing optimization.

Each offers tailored solutions—reach out to discuss your needs! Any specific skills you’re prioritizing?
