Outbound Load Planning Workbench - Load Filter

Hi,
 
Can anyone tell me what the Load filter is for here on the outbound load planning workbench? It's a drop down menu above the Loads.  If it is something I can use, where do I create the Load planning filter codes?  I've tried searching but I'm just getting explanations on how to create filters for the views.

    It might be that you want to filter the list of loads (for example, Loads leaving tomorrow, or for a specific carrier). Rather than do the filtering each time you open the workbench, you can create these filters, save them, and then re-use them.
     
    To create a Load filter, with the workbench open, in the Action pane, click Filters > Manage > Load planning filters.
    Hit New, and set Load planning filter type to Load. Any filters you create of type Load will be available to select in the Load filter drop-down.
    Use the Edit query button to build whatever relevant filter you want.
