Hi all,

Can someone tell me what is the easiest AX certification to start with? (I'm a beginner and have experience as a consultant with other Non-Erp products).
I'm hesitating whether to start with "distribution and trade" module or "finance".

As Experts has already mentioned that to start with MB-300, Microsoft Learn is a new platform that presents free self-paced, role-based, task-based content in Learning paths (groups of modules) and modules (individual tasks). To find Dynamics 365 courses on Microsoft Learn, start either from

Please have a look and decide what role you want to achieve, at this Role based Exams, and certification will help you keep pace with todays' technology.

MB6-896, distribution and Trade in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Exams has been retired i would also suggest you to take right MB Exams.

Hello JamGam,

The MB-300 exam that Satish mentioned is a prerequisite for the other (finance, distr&trade) exams.

Yet, don't expect that there is an 'easy' exam.

If you just started and have not used D365FO/AX for a while, you will probably not be able to pass the exam.

Before taking the exam, check out the recommended preparation sources especially those that are available on the MS learn site.

Hi JamGam,

It depends upon what area you are already familiar with (let's assume D365 doesn't matter for a min). If you are not, finance is comparitively simpler than T&L. I would suggest you start with MB-300 (basic d365exam) and then build on top of it.
