Hi Guys,

I wonder if need to install SQL server if developing SSRS reports with FetchXML on my PC? For example, I'm using VS2015, I just need to install SSDT for 2015 and Report Authoring Extension(select the correct version), right?

Thanks,

Dejun

    Hi Dejun,

If you are online version, only SSDT 2015 and Report Authoring Extension are required to download, while SQL server is not required to be installed manually.

It is recommend to set up the environment to develop SSRS report with following article:

Thank you for your reply. Is there any other tool that needs to be installed if it is a on-premise CRM?

    Hi Dejun,

No other tools are required, tools for on-premise are same to the online.

I have connected to my on-premise Dynamics successfully by following the tutorial above.

There is no default password for my op environment, so I checked "Use Default Credentials" option and was using "localhost" to login.

What you used is Dynamics 365 on-premise?
