Hey community,

I want to ask that I can I use column of one table into another table in power portals. In my case, I want to use "Full Name" column of "Contact (out of the box)" table into one of my custom table. I have tried creating a lookup field but its giving me relation with the table and not with the column itself. Kindly help.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Do you want set the value of FullName field to your custom entity field?

If yes and user is a logged in user then you can use the liquid syntax to get values as described in below link:

    Hello,

You can create a custom field for fullname and copy over the fullname from contact using process, flow or plugin.

    Hi Anas,

You can write a system workflow on the change of the lookup field of contact from the custom entity and fill the custom fields of full name.

    Hi Muhammad,

Yes, the lookup field is based on the relationship between two tables, and it can show primary column of the related table on the column.

The lookup can show full name of the contact on another table:

If you insist on getting "Full Name" column of "Contact, you can create one custom calculated field to get full name based on the relationship you just created.

Hey everyone, thank you everyone for the response. I have achieved my desired functionality. I created a Meta Data for the field and auto-populated it.
