Invoice Capture

Hello Everybody

I work for a company that is in the latter stages of setting up D365 and we are currently testing finance related aspects of the system ahead of the launch date

One area we are keen to get working is Invoice Capture but we are having a few issues with the AI picking up certain data from the invoice documents. For example it is missing POs, invoice numbers etc that are present on the original document but for whatever reason it cannot pick them out.

We noticed that upon processing of an invoice it highlights in coloured boxes the data it has pulled from the document onto the invoice data submission form however we cannot seem to figure out how to manipulate these boxes/drag and drop them to pick up the areas where we would like invoice capture to look for the data to assist it in its learning.

My question is, is this something which is possible to do or are these boxes generated by D365 based on what it has considered to be the appropriate data and they cannot be moved around the screen? If that is the case then what other techniques can be employed when the AI is continually "missing" the data we require it to locate to point it in the right direction?

Any advice would be appreciated, I am but a simple finance professional and not very knowledgeable about such things!

Thanks in advance to any who reply!

    Hi,

Yes, what you are expecting is possible by the Invoice capture app in D365, let me articulate what is happening and what will be required.

    1. Your invoice number, PO number is not picked up by the APP and you want to know how to just double click on those field and sort it out, however that is not done by this way.

    2. You need to create a custom model (No Coding) in power apps and then train the model (like double click what you are expecting format by format) you can publish and it will work.

For your reference I have added few documents and videos to work on this, see below.
