System no sequence no showing in sequence.

Guys,

I would like to ask about the D365FO no sequence setup.

I have set continuous for my PO#.

I try create a PO00001 then i purposely delete the record

Then i create a new PO again, i was expecting to reuse the PO00001 but system give me PO0002.

Anywhere to overcome this? or this there a setting

Hi,

On number sequences, You have to select as continious.

Yes i did set continuous but it doesn't seem to let me reuse the deleted no.

Below is my setup

No, you cannot use consumed number again.

@PREM, mean even we have set the continuous numbering, for those deleted records, system will not reuse the no seq? User have to manually reset the no?

Hi Dexin,

You cannot re-use the used number because when you delete the purchase order system will not delete the number sequence record. And also number sequence will store in so many related tables.

Continuous numbering is a different thing, this is about getting next available number automatically in the transaction.

I don't think you can use that number again after reset also.
