Dear All,
The healthcare accelerator on top of D365 is FHIR compliant. FHIR is a standard followed across healthcare industry.
What we understand from healthcare team is FHIR is standard followed while transferring the data from one system to other (In-transit) in healthcare industry. This means along with patient data the relevant medical data is also sent which can be easily read by any FHIR compliant system.
We would like to understand in Dynamics 365 CE do we need to do anything while creating a new custom entity to make it FHIR compliant?
Regards,
GC
Hello GC,
The Healthcare Accelerator is a FHIR-Based data model but doesn't encompass FHIR compliant APIs or mechanisms within it. However, the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare leverages a similar FHIR-Based data model which leverages Azure API For FHIR for syncing FHIR data within the Healthcare Data Dataverse. Azure API For FHIR is a FHIR compliant solution, thus making FHIR Compliance possible through the Microsoft Cloud for Health as opposed to the Healthcare Accelerator. Below is a high-level architecture for the Microsoft Cloud for Health.
