How to customize business process flow data fields?

Hi all,

I am currently working on the definition of the process flow through Sales Professional / Power Apps.

Whilst it is clear that the process path is made of predefined data steps I didn't find the way (yet) to tailor the data fields sub content.

Let me explain: When clicking on the "data field" drop down menu a wide range of options appears.

If I was to click on the "purchase timeframe" option for example, it will give me - as part of the process - the choice between "immediate", "this quarter", "next quarter", "this year", or "unknown.

My question is: How can I tailor this predefined content? How can I change it for example to: "0-3 months" "3-6 months" "6-9 months", etc...

I hope my explanation is clear enough!

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt, it seems that there is an option set type of field 'Purchase timeframe' having a list of options as intermediate, this quarter, next quarter, this year, unknown.

In order to change the list of options you need to customize the entity and modify the option set field there. With Business Process Flow you can just design the flow.

Hello Matt, as mentioned in the last post , the data field in the business process flow is  nothing but a field in the opportunity entity. So simply go the settings --> customization and under opportunity entity , find the field to modify the options as per your need.

Hi Goutam, thanks for the feedback. This is exactly what I am after.

Now, how did you access that settings page? I don't seem able to access it from the business process flow customization page...

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hello Matt,

Go to advanced settings and then settings --> customization --> Customize the system.

Thanks Goutam, I don't seem able to have access to any advanced settings when clicking on that icon for some reasons.

Do I have to request further admin rights internally to be able to access it?
