Hi:

When clicking the selection for generating 1099 Misc reporting in the "1099 Form Boxes" screen, data for MISC-01 vendors generates but none for MISC. Why?

Likewise, upon generating Magnetic Media from this screen, MISC-01 data generates but none for MISC. Why?

I have already confirmed that data for both MISC-01 and MISC codes resides in the company.

If MISC-01 data is generating but MISC is not, the issue could be related to how the 1099 codes are mapped in the 1099 Form Boxes setup or how Business Central is filtering records during the report generation process. I recommend verifying that the 1099 Form Boxes setup correctly associates the MISC category with the relevant vendors and transactions. Additionally, ensure that the "1099 Code" field in vendor and transaction records is consistently assigned to MISC where applicable.

For Magnetic Media generation, check if the IRS Electronic File (Magnetic Media) setup includes both MISC and MISC-01 mappings. Sometimes, the mapping configuration may inadvertently exclude certain codes. If everything appears correct but the issue persists, consider running a Vendor 1099 Information report to confirm whether MISC transactions are properly categorized.
