What is the difference between Counting and Tag Counting Journals in D365FO

Hello,

Can someone please give me examples of using a Cycle count vs a Tag count in D365FO?

I see an article related to this but what I can't determine is if Tag counting always needs to create cycle counting journals in the end and used for better categorization/ sorting?

Or is there a different purpose for using a tag count and meant to be used once a year?

Thanks!

Indiguna

Thanks Danny for referring me to that tread. So, i'm not the only one who doesn't understand the practical scenarios by reading the Microsoft Docs :-).

    Have a good day!
