Leased assets impairment

Hi,

When does the impairment button becomes active? I have a leased asset with confirmed schedules, initially recognized and some amortization and payment transaction posted but I can't record impairment because the button is always greyed out. Thanks!

    RE: Leased assets impairment

    Hi CapsLock,

The impairment button will become active when you have a lease in Open status only when the lease is not tied to a Fixed Asset. Based on your screenshot, I see that the Asset Depreciation Schedule button is grayed out, indicating that this lease is associated to a Fixed Asset.

When a lease is associated to a Fixed Asset, all accounting for the right-of-use asset is done through the Fixed Assets module - including impairments and depreciations.

    Thanks!
