"Location Code" in Released Production Order Components

Hi:

If the same location is to be placed into the /Location Code/ field within the Released Production Order's /Components/ window, is there a way of /copying/ that location from the first line into all of the other lines?

Unfortunately as far as I know this requires customization, I have developed similar functionality in the past.

If you don't want to customize, you can use the shortcut key F8. As long as the number of lines is not too many, this will not consume too much time. Configuration Package can also be used, but it is a little more troublesome.

If the Location on the Production Order Header is set before your Refresh the Production Order, it should apply that Location code to the lines. Just remember this will also be the Location assigned to the Output from the Production Order.

Exceptions to this would be if your Work Center has a defined Location, or if you are using Components at Location in the Manufacturing Setup.
