How to keep the default form after refreshing in Dynamics 365 Sales?

I have a question about setting a default form in Dynamics 365 Sales.

I want to customize the form order and set a form as the default one for an entity.

However, because Dynamics 365 remembers the last form that you selected, so if you close the record or Dynamics 365, and then open the same or a different account record, it will show the last form you selected.

My question here is that

how can I change back the default form that I set after refreshing, close tab and re-open tab (for mobile also)? Is there a solution or a workaround that I need to apply? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi viet561995,

Unfortunately, we can't achieve it, which is by-design.

If you’re currently using Dynamics and change a form, the form you change it to will become your “Default” form for that entity for the remainder of that session.

When you log out completely, and log back in, the “true” system-default form will be displayed first.

This is Dynamics’ natural behavior and can’t be changed.

    Hi,

You can achieve this by Javascript and switch your form on-load based on the condition.

    Hi viet561995

I met same problem, and searched around and find several  post including yours. neither of them worked for me but below link (in comment area by author) inspired me. I finally find a way to solve the problem.

So  method for change or set the default form of an entity (for non-default solution I should say) is:

    1. Open your solution (Settings–>Customizations–>Customize the system)
    2. Scroll down to and select “Model Driven Apps”. It’s outside of the Entity area–towards the bottom of the list.
    3. Open Dynamics 365 App of the one you want to customize.
    4. On the right under "component", select entity you want to customize; under main form check the the form you want to disppay as the defaut one.
    5. Publish. Important: after publishing the system need some time to enable the change, please be patiened and do not give up or disapointed like I did, haha.

It took me at least two hours to figure out above method, can you belieave that.......really frustrated!
