RAF with mobile device and route card good quantity issue

ReportReport
Posted on by 38
Hello,

We have an issue where we would like to use the handscanner for report as finish in production.
We are using routes but no manufacturing execution so the route card is booked through the report as finish in client with "automatic route consumption" = route group dependent.
The issue with this is if we use the handscanner for RAF we won't get any route cards posted with quantity. The process in mobile device can't post anything and we cant report the same amount of good quantites in the client during raf as well since it would be double booked physically.
Is it only possible to use the hanscanner for report as finish when manufacturing execution is used to report good quantites against the operation or is creation of route cards with good quantites manually required?
Any ideas how this can be handled?

Best regards, Elias

    Hi Elias,
I just tested in Contoso environment and it worked.   I used the USMF item D0010 with the existing BOM and Route if you want to refer to the specific item's configuration.

Here my set-ups; I not sure if all are necessary, so you may have to fiddle with them to only configure what is absolutely necessary to not affect other production processes. I highlighted those I feel contribute to the desired behavior.

Here for configuration for Production control parameters.

Here is the Route Group configuration. Obviously, the Route group has to be used for the Manufactured Item's route. The route was configured with the last operation using that Route Group and Resource requirement identifying the resource (worker 5132) .

And here for the MDMI; nothing special required here just the standard run of the mill :

I RAFed 2 unit using the mobile device and the Route card automatically posted.

    Hey @Danny Bilodeau,

    Thanks for your reply!
Just verified that the Auto-report as finished is the parameter that creates the route card when using the mobile device probably in collaboration with the other setup you shared. But that was the one missing for me!
    Thanks again for your response!

    Best regards, Elias
