Filter Power BI Report on a Item in the item list.

Hey

Im writing a report that display information about an Item. The report will be at the side of the Item list inside of BC. See image:

Is it possible to filter this report on based of the selected item in the Items list?

Hi, as far as I know, this cannot be done. When selecting a Report, you can control which Report to open, but the system does not add parameters for Power BI filter conditions. This is controlled within Power BI, unless you add a Power BI report for each Item. . . .

Hopefully other experts can give you better advice.

As Zhu mentioned its not possible you can also set filters on particular fields, pages etc. but not on report.

Yes, that's possible.

You simply need to add a report filter in the Power BI report that contains the Item No field:

Display Custom Power BI Reports - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

To make the data update to the selected record in the list, you add a filter to the report. The filter must include a field of the data source that's used to uniquely identify each record in the list. In developer terms, this field is the primary key. In most cases, the primary key for a list is the No. field.

Hi,

What if I have the same Item No. in differente companies in the Database?

Is there a way that the embebbed report show only the data from the Current Company.
