Hi all,

I have Outlook integration up and running since day 1 but I need to stop email attachments from being tracked to Dynamics.

Is there a way to do that?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi partner,

I'm afraid it is not available for now to stop tracking email attachment from Outlook to Dynamics.

However, we can restrict users from uploading attachments of certain sizes or block users from uploading any attachments in Dynamics.

    Here are the steps:

    1. Under System Setting, go to "Email" tab, enter "Set blocked file extensions for attachments" and "Maximum file size"

    2. If you upload attachment is out of the size and type that you set, you will receive the error.

We can also create a bulk deletion job to delete the email attachment in Dynamic, you can refer to this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/free-storage-space#method-4-remove-email-messages-with-attachments-using-a-bulk-deletion-job

If you have any questions, you can also reply to let us know. Thank you!

    Best Regards,

    Sayen Zhang

Thank you Sayen Zhang for point that out.

I suppose that when I get the error, email won't be tracked at all requiring that I remove email attachments, right?

    Hi partner,

Yes. It means that the upload is failed, we can upload attachment again or send email directly.

    Best Regards,

    Sayen Zhang
