how to post Report as finished by PowerAutomate

Does anyone know how to post "Report as finished"?
What I want to do is to report and post the completion of production from Power Automate.

I was able to report the completion of production from "ReportAsFinishedProductionJournalEntries", but this function does not post.

I would appreciate any help.

    Hi,

I cant tell you exactly if it is possible as I havent tried it for myself. However, in Power Automate you need to select the step which I guess is "Update a record" under "Fin & Ops". In the step you will have the possibility to set parameters, if the entity allows it, you are able to change the status.

You need to play around with it, but thats the outline steps how to do it.

I would suggest you start with a Power Automate flow and paste a screenshot where you are stuck.

    Kind regards, Adis

    HI, Adis.
    Thank you for your response.

I realized something thanks to you. And I have a new question.

"posted" item is in the output.

But, it is NOT in the input.

    But, exist in Entity...(ProdReportAsFinishedProductionJournalEntryEntity)

Is there a good way to turn "posted" on?

※ PowerAutomate flow (result) are attached.

    Hi,

I came across this older question and wonder if you managed to solve your challenge already.

The posted field only indicates if the journal was posted. By trying to change the value, it does not execute the posting logic itself. Luckily the field is read-only. For that reason you don't have that field visible in the input list.

It would be possible to add coding that makes it possible to use the Execute action action from the Fin & Ops Apps connector. This requires a development effort by creating a method for the data entity, letting it know that it can be called from OData actions, like Power Automate flow is using in the background.
