    Hi ZeeshanGhause,

Would you like to â‘  display a welcome page for users who log in to D365, or â‘¡ send a message to the administrator when users log in to D365?

    Thanks.

let suppose user 'A' is the owner of 'Dinner'' record of event' entity and it has one more field name 'startdate'.

i want to show notification or alert to user A  when User A login into CRM and start date of that dinner record is today or future date

    Hi ZG,

    Thank you for your query.

You can try to achieve this by creating

    1. a custom entity called "Alert" with attributes for release and expiration dates, and Read two-option.

    - Create a view that filters based on the start date and read option.

    - Then use FetchXML to query those records and display them to the user.

    - Create a workflow to trigger as an action to "mark as read" and work flow sets the Read option to true.

Give the user another view for "unread" messages. Create a relationship to the Event entity and notifications can be entity specific.

You can achieve this by addGlobalNotification client API. You can call the JavaScript on user login by creating a hidden button in Global Tab of the Application Ribbon.

For more details, please refer to my blog post in which the sample code shows the notification to the number of overdue tasks as soon as the user logs in to the system. You can alter the code and replace with your query.
