Release to Warehouse from Load and create work just for the reserved items

Hello All,

In case that there is a SO containing two sales lines, one reserved physically and the one is not yet reserved. We created a Load where both SO lines are in.

Is there any possibility to 'Release to warehouse' and create work just for the line that there is a reservation?

Hi AlikiPial,

According to the MS Doc, Release sales orders to warehouse page allows you select order lines or whole orders, and then release them to the warehouse.

(Warehouse management > Release to warehouse > Release sales orders to warehouse)

Hi,

I assume you release to warehouse from Load planning workbench, correct? If yes, try to uncheck this option on warehouse you use to release.

Hello Oleksiy,

That's correct, I release to warehouse from Load planning workbench.

I tried to uncheck the option 'Reserve when orders are released by a batch job' on the warehouse I use to release, but it didn't create works at all.

What is the error? Is it fulfilment policy? If yes, change it under AR parameters and try again. It will create work only for reserved quantities.

The steps I followed are:

- Creation of Sales order and reservation of on-hand inventory. In SO there are 2 lines, for the one item has already reserved the whole quantity and for the other item there is neither on hand inventory nor relation, nor marking.

- I created a Load with the 2 lines of SO.

When I try to release to warehouse from Load planning workbench screen, no work is created due to the item being out of stock.

I tried the fullfilment policy under AR parameters and also to uncheck this option 'Reserve when orders are released by a batch job' on the warehouse I use to release.

It seems no possible to create work only for the reserved item.

I was able to successfully execute the scenario you described.

Hi Oleksiy,

I have the same situation that we want to create work for the load lines that are reserved. I followed your instructions but I got an error message when I pressed Release>Release to warehouse saying "Load xxxxxx not valid. Please see Release Errors for details". When looking there, it doesn't say that much

Any idea what that could be?

Hi Jonah, can you confirm what version you are using. I did it in 10.0.30. Also review the screenshots I shared to make sure warehouse is configured in the same fashion.

We are at version 10.0.31. I did the same setup as your picture shows and I did the reservation on the sales order
