Rebate Process in BC

(0) ShareShare

Customers are given rebates monthly, quarterly, yearly.

Based on quantity, and £value.

Differing discounts across customer.

Rebates paid BACS, FOC goods.

Any suggestions how this would work in BC.

Not a refund, or credit for damaged goods etc. Reward for business.

How can BC carry out?

I have the same question (0)

After Teddy post editing this. I mixed rebate with discounts, not sure about rebates but Business Central has extensive support for discounts to customers. You can do it in a number of ways like Discounts for specific customers, customer groups etc. and you can set minimum quantity and dates during which discount is valid.

One place where you can see this is Open Customer card, Navigate to Prices and Discounts and then Sales Discounts.

You can also create campaigns during occasions.

If you want to go through in detail please go through this module and related in learning path.

BC unfortunately doesn't have the rebate function per standard. We normally go for customization or get it from App Source.

Hi Bilal, thanks for info on discounts, we have to do this as well for customers and campaigns.

Rebates are slightly different. Am surprised it is not standard in BC.

Thanks Teddy. See there are quite a few apps out there. Aim was to use standard BC where possible. Would customization be difficult? Set up some conditions and when met issue a payment?  About 50 customers would be affected.

Hi, as mentioned by the two experts above, the BC standard does not have this function. This may require customization.

If you can know the discount amount, is it possible to add the discount to the next order? I feel like using the standard Discount feature if you can.

Or is it possible to manually post rebates amout from General journals.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Adding more info

You can also try Price feature in BC, so that you can put your prices, discounts based on your customers or Items.

    Thanks.

It depends on your requirements. I would say it can be considered as easy customization. The clearer you can define your requirement, the easier it would be for developer to make.
