Good afternoon,
 
I am setting up Intercompany for 2 companies. The customer does not want a purchase invoice in the source company create a sales invoice in the destination company. They want the purchase invoice to create a general journal to debit the expense and credit the due to/from account in the destination company. Is this possible?
 
They also need intracompany entries. They will book transactions between funds (dimension) and need to track the due to/from. I don't see a way to do this with the BC Intercompany. Any suggestions?

    As far as I know, there is no way to do it in the standard. You can consider customizing it, but I don’t recommend it personally.
    Hopefully other experts can give you better advice.

    Yes this is possible if you create a regular purchase invoice against a vendor (that's not an intercompany vendor), and in the purchase lines populate the below 3 fields for each line. In the destination company it will create an intercompany journal entry that's debiting the expense and crediting the due to/from account:
     
    • IC Partner Code: select the IC Partner, the destination company
    • IC Partner Ref. Type: G/L Account
    • IC Partner Reference field: select a G/L Account No.
