Dear Experts,

Please provide me information about limitations of charts in Dynamics NAV. What are the PROS & CONS of using generic and business charts in NAV?

    As compared to other chart types, Business charts provide advanced functionalities such as:

    1) Displaying complex data that is calculated on a page.

    2) Allowing end users to filter data and drill down to the details from the chart

    3) Allowing dynamic filtering of data

    4) Being supported on Dynamics NAV Web client.

    Thank you for highlighting these advantages Amol! They're helpful.

    But I want to know about the Limitations of charts in NAV, their disadvantages to be more specific.

    Let me know if there are any points which must be considered before we start customizing/adding charts in the system which help us in making a decision if they're worth the effort or we must use reports instead.

    - Charts are not supported in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Portal Framework :

    - You might have to have some idea about the modifications to develop a chart. If you take PowerBI any moderate user can create advance charts.
