Dear Community,

currently I try to add a local printer to the Printer Management List in Business Central. Unfortunately this hasn't worked so far.

Is there any possible way, to add a local printer to Business Central without Azure / Universal Printers?

Thank you all a lot.

Greetings

I have the same question (0)

    Hi

To add to Jeffery point you need some connection between BC and printer.

Printnode is one of them. You need to pay monthly fee for Printnode and install it on your server or device. The addon is free. Printnode has Tire for connections. Basically you can install it on certain number of "devices" based on each license. For sure you can install it on your server which has access to all printers and that is it.

The other option is Print-it. It does not have a fixed monthly charge but instead it charges per print. No limitation on connections. But you need to install software on your devices or server  appsource.microsoft.com/.../PUBID.fenwicksoftware|AID.print-it-with-cloud-companion-app|PAPPID.581d572d-6a8d-4116-a1b2-8281f40daa19

If you have printers that work with Universal Print you can use following app by Microsoft which charges per print and no monthly charge or installing software on your server.

    appsource.microsoft.com/.../PUBID.microsoftdynsmb|AID.universalprintintegration|PAPPID.2654d7e7-9afd-4947-9e02-6bb8f3e0cd04

    Hi Noah_116,

Yes there is. Just go to extension marketplace and search for insight works printnode connector. It is a FREE app that you can use.

Basically you will just install the service to detect the local printer of yours/anyone you wish then what you need is the api key which will link the local printer running service and install the printnode connector app on your business central and voila.
