Hi all,

I’m looking to set up a test tenant for Business Central that I can use specifically for development and testing purposes (e.g., building extensions, testing AppSource apps, etc.).

Is there a free or trial option available for partners or developers to obtain such a tenant? And are there any limitations I should be aware of?

Yes, as a developer, you can set up a free Business Central test tenant primarily for development and testing purposes, such as building extensions or testing AppSource apps. The option is to join the Microsoft 365 Developer Program, which provides a renewable 90-day sandbox environment that includes Business Central, ideal for individual developers.

If you're not a developer or a Microsoft partner, you can still explore Business Central using a free trial, but with some limitations. Microsoft offers a 30-day trial of Business Central Online that you can sign up for directly from the official Dynamics 365 website. This trial gives you access to a standard environment where you can explore features, test transactions, and evaluate how the system works.
