Hi,
I have started using Remote-Assist recently and trying to figure out how to use front camera instead of the back-cam in the IOS app - settings doesn’t give any option to change it and there is no button on the screen to change it either - can someone please help me with it?
Regards
Waleed
Hi Waleed,
Thank you for letting me know your use case, I will add it to the Remote Assist backlog. By the way, if both the Remote Assist mobile user and Teams user both have their cameras on, the Remote Assist mobile user with see his/her/they video feed + annotations and in the right corner they will see the Teams user. The Teams user will only be able to see the Remote Assist mobile user's video feed + annotations.

Hi Xonatia,
Thanks for your response.
We were planning to use an IOS device on a moveable frame (floor mounted frame with wheels) to interact with virtually with our support team on site and wanted to establish two way video communication. If we use back camera our virtual engineer will not be able to see the onsite engineer and the onsite engineer will not be able to see the video feed and annotations.
This is unfortunate that we won’t be able to use it.
Remote Assist mobile users cannot switch between using the back camera and front camera. They can only display the back camera to a remote collaborator. To better understand your request, do you mind sharing why would you want to switch the cameras and in what cases would you use both capabilities?
Best,
Xonatia
