Editing Fixed Asset Aquisition Date does NOT Affect Report 5600, Fixed Asset Analysis

Hi Experts,

I noticed that the value of "Acquisition Date" in Report 5600, Fixed Asset Analysis showing FA Posting Date instead of the value of "Acquisition Date" in Depreciation Book.
On the other hand, Report 5608, Fixed Asset Acquisition List showing the correct value, which is the same as "Acquistion Date" in Depreciation Book.
Is this a feature or a bug?
Please note that I edited "Acquisition Date" in Depreciation Book via Configuration Package after acquired the asset via FA Journal.

I have the same question (0)

    I would say it’s neither a feature nor a bug. Sometimes, different people created these reports using different data sources, which can cause these discrepancies.

    Most of the time, the Acquisition Date is the same as the Posting Date, which is why the two dates and reports will be the same for most users. Its only in this specific scenario where you manually changed the acquisition date after the entries have been posted that the two reports don't match.

    Personally, I would rely more on the Posting Date as the accurate date, since in Business Central, posting dates can’t be changed once a transaction is posted.

    This depends on the standard report design, whether Posting Date or Aquisition Date is used.
    If you have questions about the standard code, you can submit them in the following two places.
    AL -> Issues
    BC Yammer Group
    aka.ms/BCYammer: Dynamics 365 Business Central Partner Community (Formerly: Development)

    Thanks.
