Is there a way to tell who has got a power apps per app per user license ?

We are going to be using power apps licenses for one app. These will be per user per app licenses. We will need to

a) purchase the licenses

b) assign the licenses to an environment (from the power platform admin portal - admin.poerapps.com

c) login t make.powersapps.com - select the environment - then select the app and "Share it" - select users, then select a security role and click on "Share"

d) when the user logs in they will be assigned a license

Is their a way to get a list of users who have logged in and are therefore using a license ?

Hey Greg!

Unfortunately, PowerApps per app Passes do not have yet a report on usage. App Passes are assigned to users when the app is shared with them but there's no Out of the Box report to show this information. You might want to try:

- enabling the auditing for the environment. This will allow you to track Who logged in.

- You can also verify which users have permissions (or are synchronized, or showing as Enabled users) on the environment. With this information you can start discarding Global Administrators, D365 licensed users and whatever is left, would be users with appPasses

Thanks - is there not a way to find out - for example using powershell ?

The alternative is to do as you say (and thanks for the suggestion to look at the list of enabled users) but its a bit long winded.

You can use powershell for example to retrieve users/licenses from O365 into an excel file or on screen. For example: docs.microsoft.com/.../view-licensed-and-unlicensed-users-with-microsoft-365-powershell and docs.microsoft.com/.../view-licenses-and-services-with-microsoft-365-powershell

You can also query Dynamics (either user advanced find or Powershell) to retrieve enabled users . on https://github.com/seanmcne you have a nice Powershell AddOn that will allow you to do this. Should be something like:

#Getting all users and who are not disabled

$CrmUsers = (Get-CrmRecords -conn $conn -EntityLogicalName systemuser -FilterAttribute isdisabled -FilterOperator eq -FieldValue false -Fields domainname,islicensed,emailrouteraccessapproval,internalemailaddress,isemailaddressapprovedbyo365admin).CrmRecords

Dear all, this discussion is about 1,5 years old - does anybody know if there are any better possibilties to read out used app passes now? Searching the MS Doku, I unfortunately didn't find anything.
The workaround does not really work for us because some apps are in our default environment with some thousands of enabled users, but most of them don't use apps... Thanks and best regards, Ihno
