Hash Total for EFT PM File is just showing zeros

I am new at checking out the inbuilt EFT file formats for GP. I am using a User-defined format that includes a Hash total as part of the batch control. All of the output looks fine - except the hash - it is showing as all zeros.

Can anyone fill me in on how the hash is calculated? Maybe I am missing a setting?

It works fine on the server there is has total. But on Windows 10 there is 0 hash total

Hello Cassey,

There are no known issues around hash totals not generating accurately in Microsoft Dynamics GP when Windows 10 is coming into play.

All in all - the Hash Total is calculated by totaling the first 8 digits of the 9 digit transit routing number, and then taking the 10 leftmost digits of this number.

The Transit Routing Number associated with each checkbook can be found in the Checkbook EFT Bank Maintenance window (Cards >> Financial >> Checkbook >> EFT Bank).

I found what the problem was. There was a dex customisation that fixes the hash total for New Zealand banks. Server has that dex customisation but Windows 10 did not have the customisation, thus 0 has total generated. Out of the box hash total does not work for New Zealand
