how to show custom data to user role in Phone calls entity Phone number field ?

Hi,

I am currently working on Phone call entity.I want to show some custom data in form,Advanced find and view to user role but the original data would be there in database .But admin can see the original data in field.How can I do it ??....Please help....

NOTE: Already tried giving field security thing but I also want to access data in user level so it doesn't work.

    Hi,

    Are saying the Admin as the CRM user who have system administrator role ?

    No....User is different and admin is different......Admin has system administrator role and user has salesperson role.

    Which role want to see  data and which role does not want to see data? Is it salesperson role want to see data and admin does want to see the data?

    I want to show the actual data to admin(system administrator) but I want to show customized data to user(Salesperson). But I must get that phone number field data through javascript when I login as a user(salesperson)......In motto......   User(salesperson) can access the data but he cannot see it......nowhere..

    Based on your scenario, you can register the plugin in Retrieve phone call entity.

    In Plugin, you can encrypt/Decrypt the value based on the role, whenever the user opens the record it will show the data accordingly.

    But is that feasible for "Advanced find" also ?

    Because I have even tried using Business Rules and it works only in Form.But when the user try to search in Advanced Find he is able to see those fields and values there...

    Business Rule will only work on the Client Side and will only work on the CRM Form. Based on your scenario if you want to achieve in the Advanced find, you can try in the RetrieveMultiple and Retrieve Message in the Plugin.
