Purchase orders, purchase receipts econnect.net development

Hi,

I need to integrate POs and Purchase receipts to GP 2016 using econnect and .net framework.

If have visual studio 2012 installed, what are the next steps upto the usage of

stored procedures. I need a guidance so that I can take advantage of econnect to source the POs and Purchase receipts/GRNs from one database to my GP database.

Regards,

RomRyan

    Hello,

You need to use serialization to create the document(i.e., Purchase Receipt)  and use the CreateEntity to add new data to Dynamics GP. Refer these two links:

    CreateEntity:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../ff623170.aspx

    Serializing an eConnect document object:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../ff623171.aspx

    Srinivas Ramidi,

Thanks so much for this helpful information.

I have GP and econnect installed.

Do I need to install visual studio and which version?

Do I need to install visual studio sdk having installed econnect including samples??

    Kindly help on the procedure.

    Hi,

You can use VS 2012/13 or 2015 with .Net framework 4.5.1 or above.  Make sure to check correct .NET Framework is set from project properties If you get any errors when you build the project.

Install eConnect SDK if you want to see the eConnect samples.

    Best,

    Srinivas Ramidi,

I have seen sop c# integration console application sample and I really appreciates but it puts one sop document/transaction.

Is there one whereby when ran, several documents (read from a file or another database) are uploaded to gp as oppose to initializing on transaction directly on C# or vb codes.
