Hi ,

AX 2012 R3.

We have using  timesheet functionality with workflow from Project management accounting module.

There is a requirement where timesheet should auto approve after 1 day.

Is there a way to restrict timesheet functionality to achieve below or will it require development?

1- The total number of hours booked by an individual (across all activities) on any given day cannot be more than 24.00 hours.

2- The number of hours booked by an individual for any individual activity on any given day cannot be less than 00.00 hours.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Nadeem

Thanks Ludwig for details. I have tried the warning option and AX did show warnings. Testing requirement is to stop users from entering less than zero values or over maximum allowed hours in timesheet line which AX does not do that.

I will carry out further testing and revert.

    thanks,

    Hello Nadeem,

In HR module at your worker record there is a project setup tab that allows you setting up a max hours calendar or alternatively the maximum working time per day for the specific worker. If you do that you cannot prevent users from submitting more hours than allowed but they will at least get a warning message. Maybe this is something that would help.

In regards to 0 hours postings, there is no function that would force people to enter hours but you can specify a minimum increment that nobody can enter e.g. less than 15 min (0,25 hrs) in the Project Parameters. In addition, you can make use of the missing time sheet periodic function to remind People entering their hours.

    Hope it helps,

    Ludwig
