I am looking for suggestions as to PTO accrual options. My client is on GP 2015, and processes payroll in house. They would like the system to do PTO accruals for them, as they are now being done by spreadsheet. As part of this process the client is looking at both the PTO Manager and HR attendance module.
That said, my client has a PTO accrual policy where a flat amount of hours are earned per month as of the end of the month. The accrual year runs from October 1 through September 30, and any unused balances are "Paid" to the employees at the end of the accrual year. As part of this process we are evaluating both the PTO Manager and HR attendance and had a few questions:
1) The only accrual option that seems to fit the clients policy is the INTERVAL process in the HR module. It does not accrue monthly, however it does work on a 30 day cycle. That said are there any other options in either the PTO Manager or HR attendance that could fit with my client's policy?
2) I see where the accrued hours can expire at the end of the accrual cycle. If set to expire can we still run reports to see what had accrued for that cycle or accrual year.
3) Without customization, Is there a way that the system could "pay" any unused accrued balances as of the end of the accrual cycle?
