How to disable the Address Autocomplete functionality?

Hello,

I have noticed that some of the forms on my CRM environment have an address autocomplete functionality, but I can't find out how to disable it as I don't need it for the Account entity(but I want to keep it on my other forms).

Although it is a great functionality and I wanted to ask if it can be purchased separately or it comes only as a part of MS CRM 2016 Online?
Lastly I am interested if the functionality is available for On Premise users and for users utilizing older MSD CRM versions (2011, 2013 and 2015).

I've spent a lot of time browsing forums but couldn't find any useful information.

    Hi Kristina

Are you using a 3rd party tool like Postcode Anywhere?

    Hello,

I believe you mean pop-ups with autoresolve of addresses. It's a part of Field Service (formerly known as Field One Service). AFAIK now it's available for CRM Online only.

Just to be sure - can you please provide a screenshot how does that address autocomplete work?

I just registered a free trial account and I found this functionality (which wasn't present in previous free trial accounts). I would like to implement it on a few of my On Premises environments but I couldn't find much information.

I believe this is the FieldOne solution as well but since I am interested in the address auto suggest functionality (I and can't find much information/documentation) I was wondering if I am correct.

It would be a pity if it is available only for online users...

Yes. It's a Field Service component and at the moment it's available for Online deployments only. But if you want to port this solution to On-Prem it's definitely possible. All you need is smart developer who will write new/mimic existing solution.

    Thank you for your answer.

Do you know if the functionality can be enabled/disabled for certain entities?

This can be done but you will have to modify couple of JS libraries. For example for account you will have to modify msdyn_/GeoCodeUtils/GeoCodeForm.js to remove attaching of handlers to fields. That should do the trick.

You can disable it in the Field Service settings.

    Check this link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/field-service/turn-on-auto-geocoding
