Microsoft Excel cannot access the file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2010\0DD50100'. There are several possible reasons:• The file name or path does not exist.• The file is being used by another program.• The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.

Have you tried just connecting to your cube through a Pivot Table in Excel?  I've found this to be much easier than creating them through this window in GP.  To do this from Excel do the following:

    1. Click Insert in the Ribbon and select Pivot Table.

    2. Choose 'Use External Data Source

    3. Since this is the first time doing this you'll need to create the source so click 'Browse for More'.

4.On the Select Data Source window click 'New Source'

    5. You should now be in the Data Connection Wizard.  Click on Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services and select 'Next'.

6.Enter the server name where the cubes were installed and the proper authentication.  I'd recommend Windows Authentication.  Click Next.

7.You should now see the list of the GPcubes.  Pick the one you want to use and then Finish.

You should now be in a Pivot Table in Excel looking at the GP cube you selected.  Next time you want to report on the same cube you'll just need to do steps 1 to 3.

    Neilsen,

your proposed solution worked and I think it is much easier as you said in your answer. Thanks for your help. does that feature worked at all through GP  Microsoft Dynamics GP>Tools>Analysis cubes>create PivotTable Reports?

    Hi Neilsen,

Is there any other way you know how to get rid of the error message? On the user point of view, this error should also be fixed GP. Any update on this?

    Thanks and regards.
