Hi.
I have a custom entity that relates to multiple accounts - so, the account entity has a lookup field of my custom entity.
My custom entity also has a timeline.
Assume a contact "A" that has the parentcustomerid of account "B" and "B" has the custom lookup field set to my custom entity "C"
When adding a phone call to a contact A I can see this phone call in account B but not in my custom entity C.
Is there a way to configure the timeline of my custom entity to show the activities of the connected accounts and the contacts of these accounts?
Hi Sven0007,
Through my test, only relationship type of behavior is ‘Parental’ can show child’s activity in parent timeline.
For example:
Contact and Account have two 1:N relationship:
one is Parental behavior and another is Refrential, and they have separate lookup fields.
Then I create phone call named ‘PC1’ in Contact1, then Contact1 related to Account1 and Account2 through these two lookup fields.
Go Account form, you will find that Parental behavior account record--Account2 can show contact's phone call activity in timeline.
Also. only one Parental behavior relationship can be created in one entity, otherwise, it will appear following error when you create second Parental behavior relationship.
Account is an OOB entity, it has already Parental behavior relationship for another entity, so you can't create for custom entity, which means that custom entity timeline can't show account activity and related contact's activity.
