We plan to import data from a 3rd party Payroll software to SL GL module.

Would like to know :

1) Batch number: If batch number has to be the next serial GL batch number ? if so, what table stores the maximum batch number? ( note: the batch number is not a required field)

2) Tran Type: how system populates this? Can we populate any name that we want? Does it have to be the same as Module field? ( this field is in the GLtran table but not shows on the Journal Transactions screen)

Ginny,

If we are talking about the Transaction Import template, you should just leave both of those fields blank. The system will auto increment the batch number and will fill in the tran type field based on the rest of the data being imported.
