Dynamics Lifecycle Services checks for a TFVC repo during the deployment of build environments. Therefore, if your team uses build environments, you'll have to initialize a TFVC repo andconnect to it from Lifecycle Services, even if you aren't actively using it for code management.
What does this mean? We need a TFVC repo to store the code and we use GIT to manage the code. I am a bit confused about this statement.
No, it doesn't say that you need TFVC to store code. It says that you need to initialize a TFVC repo in such a case (because LCS checks for it) but you don't have to use it for anything.
