Hi,

I have production order that is started and I need to change resource for on operation, so I go to All production orders and under Route I change the resource. Does anyone know what should be my next steps? I believe that I should reschedule my production order? What are consequences of changing the resource on started production order?

Regards

You need to do the job scheduling for the production order.

2: The Gantt charts are located under Organizational Management and Resources. You can have multiple resources in one Gannt group. Use it and move the jobs between the resources.

3: Under Production Control > Periodic > Manufacturing Execution you'll find "edit work list". Use that to replan. This will require you to have multiple applicable resources for a route.

Regarding multiple applicable resources you could try reading up on my blogpost on the matter:

    Thank you Fredrik!

Is there any chance you could give more details for 2 ad 3?

Does it matter which way I will use to change resource?

There are a couple of ways to change resource on an operation.

    1. Change ProdRoute and Reschedule

    2. Using the Gantt chart

    3. Use the Manufacturing Execition manager feature for replanning.

2 and 3 require job planning.

    Hi Suresh potlakayala!

    These links don't really help.

However I confirmed that I just should reschedule production order.

    Thank you.
