Master Planning Requirements on Location-Level in Combination with WHS

Hello together,

we want to plan requirements on the locations-level of warehouses. Therefore we define the itemcoverage on the Location-Level:

The articel is supplied per Transfer Orders.

In this case we use the following setup for the coverage Group:

CoverageGroup.png

The MRP-Run for this articel generates the following correct Planned Transfer Order:

PlannedTransferOrder.png

The PO is correct, the Location ist the one from the itemcoverage.

Also the NetRequirementsform shows the correct informations:

NetRequirements1.png

When i firm the planned Transfer Order into an Transfer Order the Problem ist, that the target Location of the Transfer Position isn´t the Location of the itemcoverage, but the default receipt location of the target warehouse, which you can see in the inventorytransactions of the TransferPostionen

InventoryTransaction.png

Also the NetRequirement Form now shows that the TransferOrder isn´t anymore targeted für the location of the itemcoverage, but for the Default receipt location:

NetRequirements2.png

When the next MRP is running it creates another Planned Transfer Order because the MRP-Run doesn´t value the former TransferOrder as coverage of the location of the itemcoverage.

Thanks for any help!

I'm not surprised you are having problems. Transfer orders are for movements between warehouses (not specific locations within a Warehouse).

Have you though about just planning at Warehouse level?
