Report Writer Checks displaying amount text different than amount number

On my client's check the exchange rate is not applying to the check total being displayed in numbers but is being applied to the amount being displayed in text. I think I need ot use the function RW_ConvertToReportingCurrency, I have the document RW_fund.com from SDK but I am still unsure where to get the parameters needed for this function. It would be great to have an example. Does anyone know where to find examples of reports using these functions? Or any advice on how to resolve the issue?
