Project Accounting Hour journal linking to vendor

I got a suggestion from a consultant to use Hour journal to post costs related to subcontractor. I can see hour journal is posted for worker and I can link worker to Vendor but after posting hour journal system is posting transaction between payroll allocation ledger and cost ledger. There is no vendor posting happening.

Am I missing some set up here?

    Hi Vaibhav Sangave,

    The hour journal will post against the payroll allocation account and does not have a relation to a vendor.

    If you want to post against a vendor you can either use an expense journal or a purchase order that is linked to your project.

    So, you don't miss a setup, it is just not a right information if you want to have a posting against a vendor account.
