Billing & Shipping Address on actual Account entity

We have started to use PSA and wondering why we have to always enter the billing and shipping address manually on a quote/invoice before sending it out to the potential customer. Why aren't these fields available on the actual Account (Customer) record, so that they get automatically populated on the quote/invoice forms. We can then change these details (if required) before finalising the quote/invoice.

I accessed the customisations option for Account and Quote entity forms. For Account, there are no fields available to record the 'Bill to Address' and the 'Ship to Address' whereas these fields are available on the Quote entity. I want to enter this information once and then it is used across the quote/invoice forms.

Why do I need to manually enter these addresses everytime I have repeated quotes/invoices for the same customer?

    Hi Dominic,

This functionality is not available OOTB. There are ways to achieve this, but they require the creation of Workflows, Plugins or using relationships.

Using Workflows/Plugins, you can probably create a Real Time Workflow that will populate the address fields from the Account record once the account has been selected.

Using relationships, when you open an account record, and click on the related record link next to the account name on the blue bar, and select Quotes. If you choose the Add New Quote from the Associated Quotes list, it will create the new quote with the account prepopulated.

In this case the Bill To Address will get populated with the Address1 address from the account record.

You can add to the relationship the Address2 from the account record, and set that to populate the Ship To Address in the quote.

To test it out, go to accounts, select an account.

Click on the > next to the account name in the navigation bar, and choose quotes.

Click on the Add New Quote button.

New Quote will pop up with address pre-populated.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Aric.

I will try out your suggestions.
