Revenue Recognition feature transition to Subscription Billing

Hello All,

In order to enable Subscription billing module, we must first disable the Revenue recognition feature if that has been enabled so If I disable "Revenue Recognition" feature what about all the revenue recognition transactions which are created and posted. All transaction data will be deleted or sit in the system?

Is there any transition tech talk video talking from "Revenue Recognition" to "Subscription billing module? There are many questions which could be a nightmare for customers who are already using Revenue recognition feature since couple of years.

Thoughts please.

Any luck in performing a migration from the MS documentation and able to provide lessons and if you've gotten it right? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/finance/accounts-receivable/sb-revrecsubbillmigration
I don't believe the author actually attempted to perform the steps because it's riddled with errors on import, assumptions about the ETL, and usability of the migrated data.

    Hi DynaManufacturing

System has reference of original transaction posted and created in deferral schedule. Please have a look to following document specially provided for migration of existing data.

    URL : learn.microsoft.com/.../sb-revrecsubbillmigration

Please let us know if this helps.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

This video covered a part of functionality that became available in Dynamics 365 F&SCM  Recurring Contract Billing. It is mentioned that the requirement similar to yours seem to be possible but will need to be moduled. You can view it for reference. And hope it will be useful!
