Inventory valuation report

Posted on by 165

I'm am trying to find a report for inventory valuation that can be quantified by date.  Every report I've found for item valuation and count is as of the date the report is run.  There doesn't seem to be a date filter.  Help, please!

Claire, the data is in the Microsoft RMS system and is easy to get at because of the SQL database.  There is an Item Movement History table (that is not the real schema name) that stores the ins and outs.  As you are aware, the current On Hand Qty is stored as well.  With a little bit of programming experience, a modification of an existing report can be made to account for the ins and outs, starting with current balance, back to whatever date you run it for using the Item History data.  End result: you choose a date, run report, you will see the balances, values etc at that time.  You can contact us at: http://www.syssolutionsllc.com/

    Re: Inventory valuation report

I'm guessing you are on US Version of NAV. I suggest to get the World Version and get the Inventory valuation report from that.

The World wide version has a start date and end date that you can set to filter for a date range.
