Remove Smart Assist sidebar in Dynamics 365 Customer Workspace

Is it possible to hide the smart assist sidebar on the right hand side?
We will use at some point, but not right now and don't want it constantly expanding.
I was hoping there would be a simple way of turning it off, but it is Microsoft, so of course it isn't.

    Yeah, unfortunately, there’s no single off switch for Smart Assist in the Customer Service Workspace, at least not in the UI. It’s baked into the session layout, so if it’s showing up, it’s because the Productivity Pane (where Smart Assist lives) is enabled for that app.
     
    If you don’t want it popping open for now, the quickest options are:

    Go into the app’s configuration in App Designer, edit the Productivity Pane settings, and disable Smart Assist there. This will remove it for all users of that app until you re-enable it.
     
    Or, in Customer Service Admin Center, under Productivity Pane -> Smart Assist, you can toggle off the Enable Smart Assist setting entirely.
    If you still need the pane for other tools (like KB search) but not Smart Assist, you’ll have to strip out the Smart Assist control from the layout, which means tweaking the app XML or creating a clone of the app without that component.
