Hello,

I have an issue with Document No in General Journal in NAV 2017. I am making a document in General Journal. The batch does not have assigned No.Series and Posting No. Series , I fill manually the document no for exc. 001 after i post te document, i close the batch and after i open it again the document no increment +1 and it shows 002, after I post the document with the doc. no 002 i close the batch and open it again, the doc. no does not change, it stays again 002. It does not increment after the first time. Have you noticed that?

    Hi Arbora,

the document number stayed the same by coincidence, rather than by design. When No. Series on the batch is not defined, there is no 'official' rule that numbers will increase - for that you need to use pre-assigned number series.

For me it does increment the numbers where it can, but it might depend on other circumstances.
